In 1979 my mother opened up the shop with the rest of the family living upstairs, which is how she had grown up, over her father's bakery just across the road! The years rolled by, kids left home (eventually) but came back to help run the business. A family affair! We extended the premises in 2001 and refurbished, but have now finally run out of space for our lovely things! A web site seemed the most sensible way to expand without losing our "small is beautiful" business model! So here it is, ever expanding and open to serve your needs. Do not hesitate to ask for things that you cannot see, as we have large stock in the shop and also have access to far more.
We are so proud that we still have customers coming in the shop today that first came 28 years ago. I guess we must be doing something right!
